Rockland was a beautiful town on the coast of Maine, with its picturesque scenery and ocean full of lobster boats dragging in their haul. This day, however, there would be no lobster at all. The ocean was empty and a strange scent was coming in off the ocean. A storm was brewing, but not your ordinary kind of storm. This storm was an announcement from the heavens, or possibly a warning. A power was coming, something unknown, unnatural, something that had lain dormant for centuries. It was a power that myths and legends were made of, and a power that one child would have to learn to handle or die trying. It was her birthright, her legacy. Would she be strong enough for the battle raging inside her? Would the gods smile down on her? Or will Aunt Mae succumb to a power greater than her own?
