While in Cairo, Oxford Professor Scott Richardson discovers an ancient glowing chalice hidden deep within the Great Pyramid of Giza. Surprisingly, an archangel appears and erases all memory of Scottas discovery. After they arrive home in England, Scott suffers from mental flashbacks of his mysterious encounter with the archangel. Mariaas Uncle Jose, curator at the Prado Art Museum in Madrid, suggests Scott examine the works of the great masters for clues to the mystery. Scott and Maria embark on a fantastic journey, seeking answers to the truth of the mysterious glowing chalice, only to attract a terrorist group, who attempt to assassinate them. The question of who really built the Great Pyramid, the possible location of Heaven, and time/space travel, are briefly discussed here, offering possible mind-bending answers. Scott is called to the Vatican and asked to assist the Pope in dealing with a terrorist threat to destroy the Vatican. The story has a fascinating and chilling surprise ending.
