Joy Blaine overhears a conversation between two men of an impending scam. Not knowing that one of the voices is that of Dan Dawson who is working undercover on the case, she goes to the police. Unwittingly she tips off the real con man, Martin Freedman, and he seems to disappear. Actually he is right under their noses.
