A Wyatt Tilby
Big Easy certainly has had his share of hard licks in life. This ambitious dog of mixed breeds has an unforgettable personality, one with which children and adults can readily relate. His transition from that of a greedy and jealous dog to a giving and compassionate one is depicted in this fast-reading novel. The introductory chapters delve into the psychological components that contribute to the former shelter dogas character, and his background is thoroughly explored in a narrative with descriptive passages that foreshadow what is to come. His dream begins thereafter, and it is areigning cats and dogsa at this Mardi Gras parade! There are crowned hounds, regal beagles and terriers in tiaras ~ not to mention Persians in pearls, Siamese with sequins and not too shabby tabbies. As streams of beads and doubloons fly from the floats, Big Easy just canat seem to get enough. Before long, he has so many trinkets that he doesnat know what to do with them all. But he has a plan, one that will ultimately change his attitude, behavior and perception of life in a positive way.
