Pat Landress has lived a charmed life. She was born in Arlington, Virginia, in 1951, and moved to Avon Park, Florida in 1962. She received a B.A. and M.ED from the University of Central Florida, and has been a public school educator for thirty-seven years, serving as a teacher, principal, and district administrator. Pat married her high school sweetheart in 1972, and they enjoyed a wonderful love affair until his death in 2007. She has two children; a son, Kiel, and a daughter, Katherine. She has had multiple sclerosis since 1977. She has been fortunate to have traveled on so many journeys in her life. Some journeys were fun and exciting; many were fulfilling and purposeful; others were painful and heartbreaking. Pat believes life is a journey, not a destination. She continues to embark on new journeys, and hopes others will find life as intriguing as she has.
