Life and Times of Joseph Howe, the Great Nova Scotian and Ex-Lieutenant Governor: With Brief References to Some of His Prominent Contemporaries (1896)

George Edward Fenety

While dealing with the death of her Grandmother, Naomi only wishes that they could be reunited and that her family can be whole once more. After running off from a frustrating fight with her parents, she finds herself at the grave of her Grandmother and falls into the clutches of a boy who has been pining for her in the darkness. While trusting this boy in her time of need, he selfishly turns her into a creature just like himself: A vampire. Knowing that her life will never be the same, Naomi changes from a regular teenage girl to what she thinks is a beast by nature. Through this experience she will learn that she can still love, and hold that love with a human boy at that. She will learn lessons that will eventually help her deal with the losses that she has been facing in her former life.
