The Old Times and the New (1868)

Cheri was a dutiful and loving wife trying to hold a family together. She had no idea what was in store for her, believing that she had a loving husband and a devoted daughter. Her daughter Laura started down the wrong path-running away from home, drugs and sex at a young age, and having things her way. When she was released from the drug rehab, the family appeared to be pulling together. Then Laura turned up pregnant. Jealously and greed took hold of Barry, Cheri’s husband, and Laura. They had to get rid of Cheri. He would inherit her money and assets. He could have it all. Cheri held to her faith in God and counted her blessings. Laura had plans of her own. She, too, could have it all.
