The Religion of Common Sense (1870)
Henry John Pye
I wrote these stories to document for our children and grandchildren a glimpse of life in the 1950, 1960 and 1970 eras. In the early 1950s, we listened to Moon Dog music, later characterized as Rock & Roll by Alan Freed, a New York disc jockey. I hope I have achieved my goal of demonstrating to the reader an insight into our childhood. There weren’t any killings, drugs or metal detectors in our schools. It was a fun time to grow up.
