Intrigue, murder, theft, deception, and betrayal among the amad mena of a 1960s New York City public relations firm, clients, and friends. Cal Reed, executive associate with P. Wallington Casper Public Relations Associates, trudges his way to work through heavy snow and bitterly cold wind, only to learn that his boss, P. Wallington Casper, has been murdered. Even worse for Cal, the police inspector suspects Cal for the crime. Cal and Ginnie Deering, the firmas secretary/receptionist, team up to search for the killer. They run up against an elusive Aussie and an oversized lawyer. Meanwhile learning that a computer disc with a secret software program has been stolen. Two more murders, then Cal and Ginnie suffer a ferocious deadly attack by the killer, and the missing software program is found.
