This is a historical fiction about a Roman soldier who is retired from the Roman Legion occupying Jerusalem. He and his family of four now live happily in a pleasant and productive area south of Jerusalem. One morning he reminisces with each member of his family. Then in private he thinks about his experiences and his fears. They are relived with sadnessahorrors torment him. He relives his battles and the intrigue of espionage and the effect it had on him and fellow warriors. Unlike the scars on their bodies, the scars on their hearts didnat heal, but God can heal. He discusses God, faith, and salvation with each one of his family. Then a package arrives. It holds this manas darkest secrets that have been hidden throughout his past. This exposes his weakness and failures. He gathers his family together for a surprise ending.
