This is not your typical time travel, romance, historical family saga or mystery! Blue Leather Journal is a dramatic tale of family heritage craftily woven into the romantic present-day life of Susannah and Tom Hepburn. When Susannah and Tom inherit the historic family estate, Chase Farm, in Larchwood, Massachusetts, she comes in contact with several of her famous ancestors, including Elder William and Mary Brewster on their Mayflower voyage to Plymouth; Susannah North Martin-one of the infamous Salem witches; Susannah and Christopher Chase, who settled Providence, Rhode Island, with religious leader Roger Williams; another Susannah Chase, who was reputed to be a British spy during the American Revolution; and Carrie Leah Chase, an actress who swept a wealthy widower right off his feet. In the present time, we meet her friends and family members who attend holiday gatherings, parties and weddings at the Farm. We also meet Tom’s new business partner and his wife whose dark and secret past will have a profound impact on them all.
