Looking Forward: A Treatise on the Status of Woman and the Origin and Growth of the Family and the State (1906)

Philip Rappaport

Do you ever wonder what you should be doing with your life? Were you created with a specific purpose in mind for you? If you think so, then have you tried to determine this purpose through introspection or careful study? Have you prayed for guidance but have been unable to understand the response, assuming that one was provided? Does this frustrate you? Wouldnat it be great if you could get easy to understand answers to all of your questions and prayers? How wonderful would it be if you could actually talk about daily problems with your guardian angel? How about if you could easily get advice and help on how to improve your shortcomings? Doesnat it sound like a miracle come true? Impossible, you say? Not so! Read on. Some might be skeptical due to the adage of an oldtimer, aIt ainat all that itas cracked up to be.a But that depends on how able you are to understand and implement the answers to your questions and problems. But are you sure that you would even recognize your guardian angel? How about if it were only about a foot tall, weighed ten pounds or so and looked like a desirable and lovable house pet? After all, it has been said that good things come in small packages. Ideal, you say, even though that is not how you had expected your guardian angel to appear. And how nice would it be if this were the best package available to anyone, anywhere and at any time ever in the entire history of humanity? You might incredulously ask how you or anyone else could be so lucky. But would it have to be named something like aComfort Bringer,a or would a name like aBonecrushera be acceptable? But donat be alarmed. This one was simply named Miss Baby, and she was super special. If you donat believe it, just ask her! If that werenat enough, she even brought along a helper. Absolutely unbelievable, you say? How could anyone rate two guardian angels? The answer is simple. It depends on how badly you need them.
