The line I walk that keeps me true, this life was chosen because of you. The things from which I’ve walked away, and every time I’ve knelt to pray. For all the things you’ll never know, and the life I lived a world ago. I face the mirror unafraid, I know the cold feel of the blade. My blood I spill to keep me true, the scar of X because of you. For everyone who turns away, for those who ask me why. As I stand and tell the truth, when it’s easy just to lie. I’ll never know just who you are. You’ll never know me too, but every day I wake to find, the strength in body, soul, and mind. My blood’s untainted, bleeding through, all this I am I owe to you.
