Personal Memoirs Of The Wife Of Major General Riedesel, Commander Of A Regiment Of Soldiers From The Duchy Of Brunswick, Who Was Hired By The British During The American Revolution. While Many Of The German Units Fighting In The Revolutionary War Were Popularly Known As Hessians, Riedesel’s Troops Were More Properly Described As Brunswickers. Riedesel And His Wife Were Captured By The Americans After General Burgoyne Surrendered After The Battle Of Saratoga In 1777.
