In this second book of the Magi Journey series, we see through the eyes if the Magi the fall of Assyria, the rise of Babylon, and the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple. Journey with the Magi as they meet Kings Josiah, Jehoiakim, Jehoiachin, and Zedekiah of Israel, and Kings Nabopolassar, and Nebuchadnezzar of Babylonia. An old nemesis appears in book two who threatens the ability of the Magi to complete the journey to meet the Messiah. The story of love, struggle, hope, and God's mercy continues as the Magi journey through time during the most critical period in the history of the world.
Book one of Magi Journey began with the prophecies of Isaiah and explained the reason God was disciplining his people, and God's offer of redemption to those who would turn to Him. The book examined the role of Assyria and the implementation of diaspora against both Israel and Judah.
Book two follows the prophecies of Jeremiah and examines how Judah went from discipline to wrath. The book examines Babylonia's role in prophecy as they defeat the Assyrian Empire, and then destroy Jerusalem and the Temple.
