Angel Face, a disfigured, vengeful, and slightly unhinged ex-member of a cult, enlists the help of the sleep-deprived loner, Karl, to infiltrate the group and destroy their leader. Karl is driven by the promise that, if successful, he'll be reconnected with Katie, a woman believed to be dead. But the mission's complications mount as each layer of the nightmare is peeled back, and Karl and Angel Face are further crippled by obsession.
