Greek Tragedy (1928) is an attempt to cover the whole field of Greek tragedy. It provides facts and importantly provides a scholarly review of Greek tragedy in the English language. It gives prominence to dramatic structure and the scansion of the lyrics. It follows the working of each playwright's mind, to realise what he meant his work to 'feel like'.
