Health of Town’s Association

This pioneering work on public health and urban planning was first published in 1844 by British physician and epidemiologist William Augustus Guy. Drawing on his extensive experience studying disease outbreaks in London and other cities, Guy argues that the health of urban populations is directly related to the quality of their living conditions, and advocates for a range of reforms to improve public health and safety.
