This small book is the second of two volumes on the shabads of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji that can be found within the section of Rags within the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Many Sikhs read the Saloks of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and focus on this dispassionate work but do not realise that the Guru also authored 59 different shabads within the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The purpose of this publication and the previous volume is to celebrate the 400-year anniversary of the manifestation of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji to the earth. The ninth Guru of the Sikhs played a pivotal role in the story of both martyrdom and the preparation of the Khalsa order becoming manifest. The one aspect that people tend to forget about is the scriptural writing by the Guru and the influence they have on an individual to obtain a state of dispassion to focus on the reality of the true quest in life. In this small book, you will find the commentary of the shabads along with any additional stories that are required to understand the narratives being explained. This volume contains the final thirty shabads that are found authored by the Guru within the Rags of Dhanasri, Jaitsri, Todi, Tilang, Bilaval, Ramkali, Maru, Basant, Sarang and Jaijavanti. The commentary is taken from the 'Gurbani Arth Bhandar commentary compiled by Sant Giani Hari Singh (Randhawe wale). This volume comprises of the knowledge found within the diasporas directly linked to preserving the definitions provided by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji to the Sikhs. I pay my salutations to this work as it provides an insight to the knowledge being provided by the Guru to the Sikhs. It is for this reason I wanted to bring this knowledge to an English-speaking audience.
