Natalie’s Newscast

Natalie loves history more than dancing with her friends in 4th grade. Learning about famous people was always exciting. During classes, she would daydream about all the wonderful and interesting individuals in history- If she could speak with them, that would be a dream come true. She believed the only way to truly learn was from the figures themselves. Along with Lucy, her yellow Labrador retriever, and Mia, her magic microphone, Natalie visits parks, museums, libraries and any other place where important figures and information about history could be found Natalie’s Newscasts brings to light overlooked African-American legends from the past, such Aviator Bessie Coleman, Bicyclist Major Taylor, Banker Maggie Walker, and The Pullman Porters among others.
