Walter is a fun loving and friendly pumpkin. He is the only pumpkin vine in the garden and grows from a happy seed. When he sprouts, he is greeted by a bird named Robin. He dances and sings with his many vegetable and animal friends.

One day he is faced with an approaching storm. Just as it seems all hope is lost, he is rescued. Walter soon discovers how special it is to be a pumpkin. He is greeted by celebrating children and honored with the Jack-O-Lantern crown of Halloween!
