Jim Crow Did Not Exist in my Backyard

A time in history. Foreign in today’s world. Joseph M. Moore conveys the struggle in the era of the Jim Crow Laws and how he was able to overcome. The segregationist laws demanded that we conformed to the dogma of separate but equal ideology. Black and Whites were not allowed to mingle together in public, but that did not exclude the levees of the Mississippi River or their own backyards. These backyards were their rally points.
