After befriending their neighbor, Mr. Barlow, pals Brianna and Joey have learned much about helping stray kittens and building habitats for California’s bird population. When Mr. Barlow gets a call one day from a nearby ranch owner, the trio embarks on an adventure to see what they can do to help some baby barn owls whose nest was downed in an earthquake. The project involves research and careful consideration for the needs of the baby barn owls. Animal lover Brianna takes a special interest in their plight, especially the runt of the bunch. Will she obey the rules of nature or will her curiosity about the littlest barn owl and her desire to protect it cause more harm than good?
