I wrote ‘Missing the Bus’ in 2012. It is the story of my childhood up to the age of 28. The book ends there because that’s when I began my teaching career and I can’t tell the truth about that without incurring an avalanche of libel suits. It is a document of the decades I grew up in; the 60s, 70s, and 80s. My mother-in-law, Margaret, said it was jolly funny. Who am I to disagree?
