The Wild Ways of Tim O'Reilly

John Roland Hughes

Tim O'Reilly just wanted to get away. He desperately needed to try to get his head back together. He had no idea why he’d freak out at times or why he was bombing his major courses in college since Vietnam but he was sure it couldn’t be battle fatigue, as it was known at the time. A couple years of adventure on the road as a seasonal crop duster promised to be a big-enough kick to get his mind off his troubles and give him a chance to get back to being the calm and capable guy he’d used to be. As it turned out, dusting did provide the expected kick, and he certainly did have an adventure, but it wasn’t quite as he’d imagined. It turned out to be an adventure of the classical type, one that involved not only a lovely damsel in distress but also a knight of the darkest kind.
