This is a photographic representation of Tennyson’s famous poem, ‘Morte d'Arthur. There are approximately eighty images portraying the last command of King Arthur, who instructs his last remaining knight, Sir Bedivere, to return Excalibur to the lady of the lake. During the tale, Sir Bedivere fails twice in his task, afraid to lose Excalibur, but finally succeeds in overcoming his own wishes, and completing his mission. Finally, Sir Bedivere carries his wounded King to a shore line, where they are both met with the enchanting sight of a dusky barge and three Queens to receive the mortally wounded Arthur. You will see vivid images depicting extracts from the poem, climaxing with King Arthur making his final journey to Avalon. The images within the book are dark and powerful, to match the emotion and feelings the poem evokes.
