Grounded in a systematic tradition that is sacramental, liturgical, and ecclesial in its approach, Singular Vessel of Devotion–which comes from one of the invocations in the Litany of Loreto–is a pastoral examination of the mystery of the Church at prayer as a body. Together, the pastoral and the systematic work together to uncover the richness of the People of God, the gift-bearers of the treasure in earthenware vessels, holders of a power that comes from God and not from them (2 Cor 4:7). This ineffable Mystery is given distinctive sacramental expression when the assembly comes together in the Lord’s Name to worship God in spirit and in truth. +
