The remains of the ancient nations embodied in the noblest parts of their creeds & motives of worship, are sacred or spiritual parts of their history, and stand to the secular parts as infancy & childhood in all lives to adult manhood & to old age. A theological key is here tried upon the previously closed lock of Oannes. The use of this key as a method brings with it religious considerations, and first & foremost the Word of God & the divine light of it. The careful reader will adjudge whether this key really fits, or not, into the lock of Berosus.
