This volume contains two works by Richard Mather: Church Government and Church Covenant Discussed, in an answer of the Elders of the several churches in New England to two and thirty questions, sent over to them by divers ministers in England, to declare their judgments there; and An Answer of the Elders of the several churches in New England unto nine positions sent over to them by divers reverend and godly ministers in England to declare their judgments therein. Both treatises are written in Old English text and due to the age of the originals we reproduced, some pages may be spotty or faded.
