Welsh Folk Tales

Folk tales gathered from across Wales, compiled by a professional storyteller Wales is steeped in tradition. All over the country, people will point out a mountain, cottage or standing stone that has a story of its own. Today these old tales are kept alive by Welsh speakers and also storytellers, who retell the ancient tales for a new audience. Following on from The History Press’ county Folk Tales series, this is a distinct national book which celebrates and honours unique Welsh stories. This is a book to linger over and to treasure. AUTHOR; Peter Stevenson is a professional storyteller and illustrator who has performed in theatres and at festivals all over Wales. He has lived and worked in the country for almost all of his life. Peter is the organiser of the Aberystwyth Storytelling Festival, Y Mabinogi Project and Stories by Gaslight. Recently he has made a series of films on Welsh landscape, artists, musicians and storytellers.
