You want to create with colour - but...
You're not sure what colour to choose. It seems to take a long time to choose a colour relationship and then a colour combination.
It's too hard. You put your art or craft away for another day. You go back to a colour palette you know. Or someone tells you what colour to use.
But you want to create with colour - colour that you choose.
...your head hurts thinking about it...
Here's what you face when you want to create with colour.
There are roughly 10 colour relationships, and these relationships hold over 90 individual colour sub-relationships. Yet, within these 90 odd colour sub-relationships, there are hundreds of colour combinations. Then on top of that, you need to consider that colour combination's colour temperature mix.
We feel your pain.
...so we've created something to help you...
Because we've been there too, we created colour wheels and drilled into each colour relationship.
We really don't want you to stress when choosing colour.
You can select your preferred colour sub-relationship and see at a glance its possible colour combinations.
...get creating and choose colour.
You won't be putting your art and craft away. Neither will you need to go back to the colour palette you know. You won't need to rely on someone else telling you which colour to use.
Soon you will be creating with colour - colour that you choose.
Let's drill down...
We have tried to create order from the confusion of a colour wheel.
First, we analysed a red yellow blue colour wheel. From this, we found 91 individual colour sub-relationships. We gave them numbers. Then we took a closer look at each one.
From those closer looks, we found their colour combinations.
Then as we found colours in our stash didn't quite fit, we created cyan magenta yellow key colour wheels and took closer looks at each of those colour sub-relationships.
This book is the result of looking closely at two colour wheel types.
Here you will find 182 colour sub-relationships, 182 colour temperatures, and 4,320 colour combinations found on a red yellow blue colour wheel, and a cyan magenta yellow key colour wheel.
These colour combinations are visually represented showing possible proportions found in each colour sub-relationships.
