Self-adulation and a self-confirmed dominating superiority slowly unravel as thought, enchanted and mystified by love, turns on itself. Theodorus, namesake of the BC Theodorus the Atheist, searches in dream and travel for a love that perhaps was never real, one he was enchanted by when young, retrievable or, so deeply painful, dead and now forever lost.

I began to look for her in my dreams and wondered if I would know her when I found her. I wondered if being with her, being together with her would be eternal or whether what was found would somehow be lost.

I was looking for her before I ever knew her and when she was gone, there was no time left in me at all.

That was a dream-escape. I didn’t know it could become true. But it did become real.
