Longtime friends Johnny Jones and Billy Martin began to work together on theories of time -travel when they were 12 years old. They were trying to develop a mobile phone application that would give users an opportunity to travel forward and backwards in time. One day at the ripe age of 16 their dream came true. Their calculations finally broke through the barrier of time, space and travel, the Time-Travel phone App was created.
The user could travel 72 hours forward and when the 72 hours ended they would return to real-time. The user would then have an opportunity to travel 72 hours backwards to make changes of what they experienced 72 hours before. Their return to real time must be taken before the 72hour period ends. If the user failed to return to the present time it would automatically save the changes with no hope of making any corrections. The changes would be cast in stone and never to be altered again.
To enter the phone app, The user would have a number of stringent login questions that would permit them entry into the world of time-travel. After signing into the app, they would turn their phone camera to selfie mode so they could see their face and then hit the ‘ACCEPT’ button. That action would send the user into the future, or, if they wanted to correct their mistakes, they would hit the ‘back’ button which would give the user a 72-hour chance to change their past. When they pushed the ‘forward button’ they would see the results of their changes. It was like looking into a hi-tech crystal ball.
What they didn’t understand was the impact the app would have on the world. They had let the Genie out of the bottle and lost the cork. The boys hadn’t calculated the apps long term impact on society and what it would mean for all humanity. Once the application was launched they couldn’t shut it down leaving the users caught in the conundrum of time-travel. They were in a real mess and worked to hopefully unwind the application. Only time would tell if they would be successful.
