That ancient book contains eighty-one poems of extraordinary depth describing a natural way of living that provides long-term success with minimum effort-The Way of Nature has no favourites. It is always with the competent people [79]. The theme of his poems is to maximize your success, which is to obtain what you seek and escape what you suffer [62]. You maximize your success by aligning the Way of People with the Way of Nature-Have a long life through a lasting regard for the Way [59]. Manmade climate change is only one of many consequences of ignoring Lao Zi’s wisdom. His superb poems form a bridge across the deep fault lines that are created and maintained by nationality, ideology, religion, race, and greed.
