Set in the time of the 2017 Churchill film, 'Darkest Hour', we follow Gordon, a young British Officer in the King's African Rifles in 1939. He is sent off alone to try and gain intelligence for British Army on the possible Italian invasion of Kenya. He links up with Emma, Lord Wakefield's daughter who is half Italian. They experience some horrendous escapades with a camel called Freda, and fall in love. They get involved in the hostilities in the Western Desert. The chances of their survival appear to be remote. Can their love and courage save Cairo from the Axis Powers?
