At PM Orange level, new high-frequency words continue to be introduced at a gentle rate and those encountered in earlier levels are reinforced. Three syllable words are introduced, along with opportunities for teaching students how to break difficult words down into smaller parts or syllables. At this stage, readers become aware of story structure, and are able to discuss it and become inspired to write their own stories.
