Following a complaint, Viscount Ridley was found to have breached the Code of Conduct by failing to delcare his financial interests in a comprehensible and unambigous manner when speaking in a debate on the Energy Bill. Vicount Ridley took appropriate remedial action by way of an apology to the Sub-Committee on Lords’ Conduct and an apology in a subsequent speech in the House on the Bill.
