The National Gallery of Victoria’s Melbourne Art Book Fair and Readings are honoured to have Wayne Quilliam, one of Australia’s leading Aboriginal creators discuss his work and the importance of documenting significant events for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Quilliam’s work has been displayed on a global scale and he has been awarded the NAIDOC Indigenous Artist of the Year. Culture is Life: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in modern Australia is a photography book that celebrates and shares stories of First Peoples across the continent.
