A coconut tree is a strange place for a sea creature to live, but that is exactly where Obie the octopus built his home! Terrified of the ocean and unable to swim, Obie spends most of his time on land with an unlikely companion, a clumsy, blue-footed booby bird named Ruby. When Obie sees his lifelong friend in danger, swept out by the ocean's tide, he must decide whether to listen to his nine octopus brains, or to face his fears of the ocean.
