Nieven is widely regarded as the Ice Prince, youngest of the Royal children, by his people across their Kingdom. Quiet, reserved, and an introvert by nature and shielded from the people for unknown reasons make him come across as cold and unapproachable. They could never know what he sacrifices for each one of them even when he is ostracized and belittled.

Nyla has gone by many names in her long career as a Master Mage; The Dark Sorceress, The Royal Guard Dog, The Hero of the People, and the One-Man Mage's Army. She is sought after in a world that hates Mages and magic wielders alike for the simple thought of them having access to the natural element embedded in their world. She is the one who stands between Mages and those who want them eradicated. Even without a mask no one knows who she is.

Daylor was a Commander in the Royal Army, though he has long since left the battlefield for a simpler life in a smaller city with open minded people. Leaving the Royal Army to raise his daughter in peace was not where he thought his life was going. From the rigid adrenaline-fueled military on the front lines to a easy life owning a smithery in a loving and docile southern city away from any conflict. All he wants in life now is for the world to be safe for his magic wielding daughter, to become a world she no longer needs to hide in.

When an extremist Guild massacres the Royal Council in the castle walls and the prince who had been with them during the attack disappears, the Royal family panics calling the only Mage they can trust to set the world ablaze to find the youngest member of their family. But when that same Guild calls for the hero's head in exchange for the prince's life, what are any of them to do? Everything is at a standstill in the Kingdom when everyone realizes NO ONE knows where the prince himself is.

The thing no one seems to notice is that is that the prince can hide in plain sight, and he refuses to go down without a fight. Even if no one else will help he will find out who is targeting his family and his people and take them out himself. Good thing there is a gentle blacksmith and his makeshift family are going to give him the help they think he needs. Even if they are underestimating him in the process.
