Heart Work A Heart-Centered Collection of Poems is the second of the author's responses to her assignments related to the course On The Matter of Race: White People Committed to Continuing the Journey Together, Level 2 (May 2021-October 2021), Level 3 (January 2022- June) and Level 4 (September 2022 - publication). Additional inspiration for the poetry came from participation in a JustFaith Ministries workshop, Faith and Racial Equity, along with independent study. The author is grateful for the opportunities, education, and growth sparked by these experiences. A section of lighthearted poems written while on vacation rounds out this collection.
