The Anatomy of Good and Evil

The Anatomy of Good and Evil is a book about the art and the creative process of M. Susan Deaton. She tells her visual stories through symbols and her perspective of the world. Her pencil and ink drawings ask viewers to think and respond to her critique of religion and social justice issues. She depicts the problems she sees through her art and offers solutions to tired and old ways of believing and living. After leaving religion, specifically Catholicism, she found peace in nature. Her overarching theme in most of her work is Humanity's relationship to nature.
