Choices is a culmination of not just my life, but a collective of experiences that have impacted me and shaped the trajectory of my life. To me, life is like a jigsaw puzzle. Each interlocking piece-our experiences, skills, and talents-fit into the bigger picture: our identity. People may be positively or negatively impacted by our "pieces" when taken in isolation, but we can extend grace once we examine the big picture. This requires an intent to understand people's personal choices, wounds, and/or trauma.
