Forced to leave the comfortable life they knew in England, Jonathon McDaniel and his wife take up residence on a farm in the Colonial town of Westbend. After settling in, Jonathon finds his life turned upside down, as mysterious events plague the community. Soon thereafter, he joins the militia to defend his community, but is thrust into war, leaving behind a young family.
