Pedro de Jesus (Fomento, 1970) recibio en 2015 el Premio de la Academia Cubana de la Lengua y la Distincion por la Cultura Nacional. Narrador, poeta y ensayista, ha publicado los relatos de Cuentos frigidos (1998) y La sobrevida (2006), la novela Sibilas en Mercaderes (1999) y el volumen de poesia Granos de mudez (2009). Su ensayo Imagen y libertad vigiladas. Ejercicios de retorica sobre Severo Sarduy (2014) recibio el Premio Alejo Carpentier y el Premio Nacional de la Critica Literaria.
