Due dei personaggi che hanno movimentato i precedenti romanzi, Ricky McGinnis ed Emily Bianchi, si sono alfine sposati ed aspettano che la situazione mondiale si tranquillizzi per poter andare in viaggio di nozze e finalmente sembra che tutto vada per il meglio.
