Burnout among teachers has been addressed as a serious problem among educational institutions around the world, and understanding the consequences that this phenomenon can cause becomes essential, since it can have repercussions on the motivation, satisfaction, health and longevity at work of these professionals (PIETARINEN et al, 2013). For organizations, this research could represent a step forward in adopting strategies to reduce cases of burnout or help mitigate its effects on individuals. Once the relationship between burnout and human resilience has been proven, this study could help formulate measures aimed at supporting professionals to face the symptoms of the syndrome with encouragement, the ability to overcome the effects that threaten their health and physical integrity, and to overcome and emerge from this adverse experience stronger. It should also be borne in mind that these results could bring benefits to society, in the sense that by providing teachers with a better quality of life, they will be able to repay the gains made with better dedication to teaching and treating students in a more humane and ethical manner.
