The aim of the research was to develop rural extension activities to improve food security in the town of Ovipembe, Ondjiva commune. The work took place between January and April 2023. The design was structured in phases that gave rise chronologically and systemically to the specific objectives. The research was qualitative and based on the principles of participatory action research, as described by Roa et al. (2002). The historical-logical, analytical-synthetic and structural-systemic methods were used. Research was the fundamental strategy of the investigation, which was qualitative in terms of data collection and quantitative in terms of data interpretation. The results of the research were processed using tables and graphs in order to facilitate understanding. The information was analyzed using Excel and Word for Windows version 10. A proposal was drawn up for rural extension work to promote food security in the locality of Ovipembe, Ondjiva commune.
