Among these software programs, ChemSketch is one of the most accessible and has great potential for use in schools. With this in mind, the main aim of this work is to contribute to the process of teaching organic chemistry through the use of ChemSketch. It is the result of research for a Professional Master's Degree in Science and Mathematics Teaching, entitled "The use of ChemSketch software as a tool for teaching Organic Chemistry in Basic Education in the State of Acre", developed at the Federal University of Acre, under the important guidance of Prof. Dr. Anelise Maria Regiani.
