The aim of this work was to address the important aspects of didactic interventions promoting interdisciplinarity promoted by teachers of Youth and Adult Education, as well as themes present in the debates and discourses on the teaching and literacy process, presenting the conceptual diversities of the same over the years. Another aspect to be discussed is Youth and Adult Education, which is sometimes seriously attacked by society, but does not diminish in importance because it provides a space for training individuals who have not had access to or have withdrawn from regular education for various reasons, highlighting their desires and obstacles in the process of learning reading and writing skills. This work was based on bibliographical studies and field research, using case study methodology, with qualitative analysis and monitoring of the activities of the teachers at the Professor Ercilia Bento Integrated Unit.
